Welcome Roberto Camiro Marroquín, Player Representative for APFC

We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Roberto Camiro Marroquín as the new Player Representative for the Americas Powerchair Football Confederation and member of the APFC Zone Executive Committee!

In this role, Roberto, known as "Tito" to family and friends, will serve as an important link between our players and APFC leadership, bringing the athlete perspective directly to the Executive Committee. He will advocate for the collective good of all players across the Americas, ensuring their ideas, concerns, and overall experiences remain at the center of our decisions, policies, competitions, and development efforts. He is thrilled with this new role since he wants this sport to flourish while remaining fair and competitive.

Roberto brings an incredible mix of high-level playing experience, strong leadership, and analytical skills to our Executive Committee. He started  playing Powerchair Football since 2019 with the first Powerchair Football team in Mexico, Tigres, and currently plays for Rayados de Monterrey. He has extensive international experience as a player. He represented Rayados de Monterrey at the inaugural 2025 FIPFA Club World Cup in Paris and the Mexican National Team at the 2026 Americas Cup in Phoenix.

Outside of powerchair football, Roberto has served as a team captain for many years and is a passionate advocate for equal opportunity and inclusion across the sport. He holds a degree in Engineering Physics and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Business Management.

Please join us in giving Roberto a huge congratulations as he steps into this new position! We are incredibly excited to work alongside him to strengthen our organization and serve our players across the zone.
